History of Negroni Cocktail
This cocktail contains among its ingredients the legend of Count Camillo Negroni, an eclectic character of the Florentine nobility. It seems that the Count asked the bartender Fosco Scarselli to "strengthen" the usual American.
The American was at the time, a very trendy cocktail prepared by mixing vermouth, bitter and soda.
He wanted to "strengthen" the alcohol content of the cocktail, without altering its color.
Thus was born the Negroni.
Realization
Born from the merger of:
-Bitter Zanin, with a full and decisive character in which the sweet part is in full harmony with the bitter and characteristic notes of the Bitter.
-Italian red vermouth from Piedmontese wines.
-Gin Zanin where the juniper harvested in Italy is the basis of everything and characterizes in a decisive way.
How to serve it
Negroni is one of the most famous Italian cocktails in the world: it has an unmistakable taste and is served in a low tumbler filled with ice. Then a fragrant slice of orange is a must.
When to serve it
Negroni is considered a symbol of the Italian aperitif and, thanks to its simple and balanced flavor, it is one of the most popular cocktails also as an after-dinner drink.
